1. The Core Misconception: Annihilation vs. Renewal
The Popular Myth: The "end of the world" means God completely vaporizes the planet into nothingness, and believers float away on clouds forever.

The Scriptural Reality: The Hebrew and Greek terms often refer to the "end of the age" (olam hazeh / synteleia tou aionos).

It is not the total annihilation of creation, but its cleansing, restoration, and renewal (Acts 3:21, Revelation 21:1–5). Just as the flood of Noah wiped out the wicked system and washed the earth, the final fire purges corruption to make way for a New Heaven and New Earth.

2. The Major Phases of the Prophetic Timeline

Phase 1: The "Beginning of Birth Pangs" (Matthew 24:4–8)
Yeshua described the preliminary signs leading up to the end:

Deception and false teachers claiming divine authority.

Wars, rumors of wars, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.

These are not the immediate end, but the labor pains indicating the birth of a new age is approaching.

Phase 2: The Period of Tribulation & Deception (Matthew 24:9–29, Revelation 13)
The rise of global lawlessness (anomia) causing the love of many to grow cold.

The appearance of the false leader / system (the Anti-Messiah / Beast) who demands false worship.

Intense testing and persecution of those who keep the commandments of God and hold fast to the testimony of Yeshua (Revelation 12:17, 14:12).

Phase 3: The Return of Yeshua (Matthew 24:30–31, Revelation 19:11–16)
The Sign of the Son of Man: Visible to all the earth—not secret, but breaking through the clouds with power and great glory.

The Resurrection of the Just: The gathering of the saints / believers from the four corners of the earth.

The Overthrow of Lawless Powers: Yeshua defeats the corrupt rulers, beasts, and systems that oppressed the earth.

Phase 4: The Millennial Kingdom (Revelation 20:1–6, Isaiah 11 & 65)
Yeshua reigns physically and righteously over the earth from Jerusalem.

The nations learn the Torah and beat their swords into plowshares; true peace and justice are established worldwide.

Phase 5: The Final Judgment & The White Throne (Revelation 20:11–15)
Satan, having been loosed for a final brief test, is permanently cast out.

The general resurrection of all who have ever lived to face God's righteous judgment according to their deeds.

Death and the grave (Sheol/Hades) are finally destroyed.

Phase 6: The New Heaven and New Earth (Revelation 21–22)
The New Jerusalem descends from heaven down to the renewed earth.

The dwelling place of God is fully with humanity: no more tears, no more pain, no more death.

The Tree of Life is restored, bringing total harmony back to God's creation.

3. The Central Purpose of the "End"
The entire biblical arc is paradise lost to paradise regained:

Genesis 1–3: Creation starts in a pure garden where God walks with man; sin enters, bringing death, separation, and anomia.

The Middle: God works through covenants, the Torah, and the redemption of Yeshua to call out a faithful remnant.

Revelation 21–22: Creation ends in a garden-city where God once again dwells directly with redeemed humanity in eternal righteousness.

The end is not destruction for its own sake—it is the final eviction of evil so that the righteous can inherit the earth forever (Matthew 5:5).
